Going On A Mission

After going up to London on Friday for the start of the Best of Especially for Youth Conference with over 300 youth in attendance, we stayed over at a hotel to get ready for our the next leg of our travels.

Saturday morning we awoke to clear skies and after a nice "hotel" breakfast prepared to go to the Toronto Temple in Brampton.

One of Mom's former seminary students, Chris Wilde, had invited us to accompany him and his parents to the temple where he was receiving his endowments. Chris has received his mission call to serve in the Denver Colorado Mission.

We were excited to attend and support him.

In and around the temple we saw so many people we know: Jane and Bob Townsend with 6 of their grandchildren; Janeth (Townsend) and Dana (Townsend) and John Sherlock, and Harold and Maureen Walker, our former stake and temple president.

Seeing the grandchildren of the Townsends brought back instant memories of all of their kids when we were all living in London. Dana's oldest daughter looks just like her and reminded us of Julia who are the same age by just 4 days apart.

  1. Grateful for parents who set a great example of going to the temple, wish we were closer so we could all go together and so you could see your grand kids more often.
