Fred - Sans Nom

OK so there has been a big debate over the name of our car. Mom likes to call "her" Fred and when the guys couldn't think of a name we played on our country's second language and called her Sans Nom...which means "no name".
Well we picked her up in 2005 when our white mini-van was slowly fading on us.
Now, after 368,000+ kilometres she was starting to do some small leaks of oil and the water pump was slowly dripping as well, which was not good for our highway drives we tend to make. So before we had any roadside problems while driving we figured we had better get another pre-owned vehicle.

BUT before we traded Fred in for a new car we had to take some photos of her.

Our car is always recognizeable from the bumper stickers.

I am sure you will all remember them...

There is the Alzheimer's Society magnetic ribbon and the classic RULDS2 just like Opa used to have on his car ways back.

And you can't forget your heritage from Canada or from Holland...nor Mom's deep understanding for nutrition...via chocolate!

Hard giving up a car for all the memories we have made. Fred has driven up to London and beyond more times than we can remember.

So this blog entry will help us not to forget.

  1. I forgot about calling her Sans Nom. I must say, Fred did kind of stick!
