We hit the highways again this past weekend going through London to pick up Oma and then on in to Toronto.
Our adventure this time was to go to Andrew's place to have Easter dinner. Marci had left that Good Friday morning to leave for Alberta and eventually BC for her 5-week placement for her teaching certification.
Camille had bussed it in from Hamilton and so we joined forces on the Easter meal.
Andrew was in the kitchen preparing the vegetables of corn, steamed carrots and broccoli, and scalloped potatoes from scratch from a recipe off of the internet.
Mom brought the cooked ham, parsnips to cook up especially for Oma, and pistachio pudding.
After a wonderful dinner and Mom's delicious carrot cake with cream cheese icing, we used Camille's laptop with a camera to Skype on the internet to connect and allow Oma to see the de Boers and the Elfords.
Oma loved seeing Max, Terry, Emily and Sarah (who had just come home from an apendectomy).
And she laughed seeing her great-grandchildren from the Elfords on the computer.
